Who operates KROG — and what “verified” actually means.

KROG structures professional competence and makes evidence checkable. That only works if it is clear who runs the platform, who issues credentials, and where a claim ends and a checked fact begins.

Who issues KROG credentials

Every KROG credential is issued by, and identifies, the same entity that operates the platform:

Credentials are meant to be checkable by anyone. The verification page shows what a lookup will answer. The lookup itself is not operational yet, and the page says so.

What “verified” means — and does not mean

A profile on KROG can hold competence on four different grounds. They are always shown distinctly, never blurred together.

Self-reported
The person stated the competence themselves. Nobody has checked it.
Evidence provided
The person attached work or references. The material has not been assessed yet.
Verified
The evidence was assessed against criteria by someone other than the person.
KROG credential
The competence was established through a passed assessment and attested by an issuer.

Self-reported competence is never described as verified — not in search, not in matches, not on cards.

The platform and regulated services are not the same thing

KROG operates a platform. Regulated legal services are delivered by lawyers admitted in their own jurisdiction, on their own responsibility.

KROG provides

  • Structure for competence, evidence and credentials
  • A directory and matching against described needs
  • Records infrastructure and APIs

KROG does not provide

  • Legal advice through the platform
  • Responsibility for work performed by a lawyer you find here
  • Admission or licensing of any profession
